Hi -

ICBINI* is go for 22-23 November!

The main day of dance workshops will be on 22nd November at the University of
Bristol Union - Queen's Road, Bristol BS8 1LN. Anyone who wants to teach, or
learn can; there will be no charge and no fees. We've booked 3 rooms of various
sizes from 10:00 til 4:00 pm.

There will be a ceilidh at the UBU at 7:30, with a local band called Spiro, who
are rather splendid. Richard Mason has kindly agreed to call. Cost will be 4
pounds concessions and 6 pounds full price.

Rag Morris are organising a Morris Tour in central Bristol around Sunday
lunchtime, so any visiting morris sides or other display dance teams would be
welcome to participate, and we're asking some local sides to join us too. It
will be based around At-Bristol and the Harbourside; there is some wooden
staging in Anchor Square which could be used for dance displays.

We still need to confirm accomodation - the place we've used before is unable
to help this time. ) We are writing to all sorts of places at the moment, so we
can't give an estimate on how much this will cost.

It would be useful to know how many teams / people to expect and how much
accommodation we'd need to provide. The hall we've booked for the ceilidh has a
capacity of 250 (+80 in the next door room, perhaps we could use for the
chill-out space!) so we aren't planning for more than that, and would include
some locals and Bristol University Folk Club members in that number. If your
club / side can make it then please could you tell me, as well as a rough
estimate of how many people might turn up - perhaps updated closer to the time
or after the start of term. (How many turned up last year, Exeter?)

Oh, and if any display side would be interested in doing a spot at the ceilidh
then please ask - I'm not expecting Rag Morris to do that one!

For more info, have a look at the Bristol University Folk Club website at

http://www.ubu.org.uk/folkclub

Any further help/advice would be appreciated - particularly regarding
accomodation!

Hope to see you there, then,

Best wishes,

Gavin

Rag Morris / Folk club.
