PRESS RELEASE

Lottery Award Boost For Dance & Music Festival

Organisers of the IVFDF Dance and Music festival are celebrating today after
receiving a grant of £3200 from the National Lottery’s Awards for All
programme.

This grant will allow the festival to widen even further the range of dance
and music events that are on offer at IVFDF. As the vast majority of the
events are participatory, it will allow the people of the South West a rare
chance to try their hand at events as varied as Salsa, Belly Dancing, Jive,
Morris Dance, Irish Step and African dance.

Group spokesperson Mr Richard Mason said: “We are thrilled to get this award
today. So many people have already given their time and skills to make this
happen, and the award will really help us to get even more local people
involved.”

IVFDF Dance and Music festival will take place in and around the Great Hall
at Exeter University during the weekend of 27th – 29th Feb 2004.
