Hello -

Is anyone thinking of running an ICBINI this autumn? The first two, in Exeter
and Bristol, were fun, pre-IVFDF get-togethers with some self-run dance
workshops, a ceilidh, a church hall and a small-ish organisational load. For
the record, I don't expect there to be another one in Bristol this year and I
don't know if Exeter are thinking of doing one, but it could be an opportunity
for a smaller/growing university folk club to have a go and see what they can
organise.

Be useful to have an idea by the end of this term so we can all fit it in our
programmes for next term!

University of Bristol folk club are holding a couple of concerts this term; the
first *tonight* (25/5) with Jackie Oates and Esther Keen, following their
concert at IVFDF, and also local singer Maddie Southorn; the second is with Ola
from Yorkshire, in 3 weeks time on June 15. Both concerts are £3 NUS / £5 full
price, and are in the Mandela Bar, UBU, Queens Road, Bristol. FFI:

Reading University now have a folk society for the first time in a number of
years, and they are organising a scratch ceilidh on 4th June, 8-12pm, £5 Nus
and non-nus soc members, and £6 for everyone else. The Orange Room (behind Park
House), Whiteknights campus, University of Reading, Shinfield Road, Reading.
They are also reviving Whiteknights Morris! :)

Maybe see you at one of the above...

all the best

Gavin.
