[ivfdf-news] IVFDF 2007 (YES 2007 - Who? What? Where When?)

Dear All,

In the build up to this years festival can I make a suggestion that each 
group has a SERIOUS think about whether they might be in a position to hold 
the festival in the future. Specifically 2007. If you are thinking about it 
then you may wish to start sounding out venues and other things before you 
come to this years festival so that you can put your bid in with some 
security. If you are wondering about it and are not sure what is involved, 
please get in touch there are a number of people who have run festivals in 
the past who will be able to give you some information.

Last year we had to suspend the meeting of representatives from all the 
societies attending IVFDF whilst the these people "were given a helping 
hand" in thinking about running the festival for 2006. (i.e. we sent the 
heavy mob around until someone volunteered - only kidding !!). On a more 
serious note it is important to the ongoing life of the festival that there 
are groups willing to take it on and to run it. After 54 years it would be 
a great shame to loose the tradition that this festival involves. Those of 
you who have been before will know just quite how much fun it is! So please 
please give the idea some serious thought BEFORE you come down to UEA this 
year.
