Hello,

Just a quick message to let those of you who don't know already know that more details and a booking form for the train from Dundee-Exeter are now available on the IVFDF2009 website. http://events.exeter.ac.uk/ivfdf2009/information/gettinghere.php and click on the IVFDF train bit. The text from the booking form is below for your information.

We are still working on getting the costs down a bit, so these are the maximum fares that people will have to pay. I also know that the deadline of 10th January is not exactly helpful to a lot fo the uni groups who are on holiday between now and then, but we need to have a reasonable indicator of how many people are actually committed to going by that date.

Anything else you need to know, just let me know,

Seonaid

Join the Dancing Devonian and travel to IVFDF 2009 in Exeter in style. Travelling aboard a 1960s style train, you will be able to sit back and relax, or dance your way there and back!

The route takes us south from Dundee along the Fife Coast, crossing both the Forth & Tay Bridges to Edinburgh. We then head down the East Coast Main Line through Northumberland with its spectacular coastal views to Newcastle, and continuing through the cathedral cities of Durham and York. We then head through the industrial heartland of Yorkshire to Sheffield, before heading through the Peak District to Derby and on to our final pick up point in Bristol. The train then makes it’s way along the Great Western Line via the famous Lickey incline to Exeter.

It is hoped that this train will be hauled by two WCRC Class 37 Diesel locomotives .
