[ivfdf-news] IVFDF Discussion: New mailing list

[IVFDF Central Treasurer]

Dear All

As mentioned at the Representatives Meeting at this year's IVFDF in 
Sheffield as part of my Treasurers report, I circulated a document about 
discussion Future Central IVFDF Financial Policy. The trigger for this 
was that the central fund may be starting to reach the point where in a 
few years time it is likely to be large enough to provide for the needs 
it was originally created and so consideration should be given to what 
these funds could be best used for once that point is reached. The 
outcome at the reps meeting was that this issue be discussed via e-mail 
and recommendations be brought back to a future reps meeting. To that 
end we now have a *new* e-mail list that people interested in discussing 
this can join so that we keep discussions away from the ivfdf-news list 
which is mainly aimed as announcement list.

Once a significant number of people have joined this list (or in 
approximately 2weeks time) I will start discussions there by re-posting 
the Treasurers Report form 2008 which contains the original discussion 
on this issue.
